Process Safety Management (PSM) services:

Process Safety Management (PSM) services focus on protecting your workforce and worksite by systematically evaluating the processes that contain highly hazardous materials in your plant. Our solution keeps processes streamlined and chemical encapsulated to minimize risk and maximize protection of your People, Assets, and Company.

Why PSM:

PSM is a regulatory requirement in many parts of the world. It is also good engineering practice for the process industries. PSM programs protect people and the environment. They also help to reduce process downtime, ensure process operability, maintain product quality, and avoid adverse publicity from accidents.

PSM Audit :

The major objective of process safety management (PSM) audit is identify the level of implementation of PSM program. PSM Audit requires a systematic approach to evaluating all the elements of PSM.We conduct a PSM Audit covering all the aspects of process safety. Areas like process design, process technology, process changes, operational and maintenance activities and procedures, non-routine activities and procedures, emergency preparedness plans and procedures, training programs, and other elements that affect the process safety-all are covered in PSM Audit.

OPERATING & FINANCIAL BENEFITS

Increase employee, contractor, subcontractor, and plant safety performance.

Support OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 regulatory compliance to avoid citations and fines.

Control hazards that reduce and prevent process-related incidents.

Develop specifications, procedures, and safeguards to prevent undesirable events.

Implement criteria-based regulatory auditing process that ‘risk ranks’ findings by priority.

Reduce company risks, liabilities, capital costs, and operating expenses.

Increase operability, productivity, stability, and quality output of processes.

HAZOP Chairman Facilitator

A HAZOP is a group technique for identifying hazards and operability problems. It can be applied to operating process plants and to plants invarious stages of design.

In a HAZOP, the way the study team operates and the manner in which the scope of work is defined are defining characteristics of the technique.

The HAZOP team
Comprises a leader who asks questions of the team, a recorder whore cords the discussion and team members who represent of each of the key disciplines involved in the facility such as:– Process design– Operations– Safety and maintenance
The plant to be studied
Is defined at the beginning of the HAZOP typically using a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram to clarify the battery limits and interfaces
The team operates
A question and answer approach using guidewords to search for deviations from design intent or failure modes of the plant.

PSM Gap Analysis :

The first step to develop an effective PSM program is to conduct a Gap Analysis Audit. Gap Analysis provides the basis to the management to identify the areas that need to be focused on to ensure process safety. Swiesh provides a cost effective 1-2 day review of your site operations, policies, and procedures to help you identify the weakness and major issues in implementation of PSM programs.

PSM Audit :

The major objective of process safety management (PSM) audit is identify the level of implementation of PSM program. PSM Audit requires a systematic approach to evaluating all the elements of PSM.We conduct a PSM Audit covering all the aspects of process safety. PSM Implementation Program

Elements of PSM program vary site to site and industry to industry. The most vital element for one industry may not make any sense in another industry. The relevance and importance of various PSM elements depend upon the type of process, type of unit operations involved, type of industry, size of industry and number of employees.Swiesh  therefore, designs a customized PSM program considering the only relevant and sufficient elements of PSM which encompasses all the aspects of process safety for that unit.Apart from implementation of complete PSM program, we also provide support for implementation of one or more elements of PSM.
